Alabama National Fair F.A.Q
GENERAL
Where is the Fairgrounds located?
We are located at 1555 Federal Drive; Montgomery, AL. The livestock entrance gate is located at 1295 Coliseum Blvd; Montgomery, AL.
What are the operating hours?
The Fair Office is open Monday through Friday; 9 am to 4 pm. Office hours are extended closer to Fair time, please contact the Fair office for more details.
Is the Alabama National Fair a charitable organization?
Yes, we are a Section 501©3 non profit organization. We are the fundraiser of the Kiwanis Club of Montgomery. For more information on our charitable givings, click here.
How much is parking?
Parking is now included with the purchase of a general admission ticket.
What items are prohibited?
Prohibited items include weapons, fireworks, alcoholic beverages, drones and bike/skateboards/skates/hover boards. Other items may be refused at discretion of the Alabama National Fair management or police. The Fair has also adjusted safety procedures in several other areas including security staffing levels, vehicle access, traffic management and video. Use or possession of alcoholic beverages is prohibited on fairgrounds. Intoxicated persons may be refused entrance or excluded by police.
Can I bring outside food into the Fairgrounds?
Outside food and beverages are not permitted on the Fairgrounds.
Clear Bag Policy?
- Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″ OR
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar)
All clear bags will be screened prior to entry into the fairgrounds. All clear bags not meeting the above requirements will not be permitted. Although permitted, childcare items, including diapers, must also be carried in an approved clear bag.
Fair patrons carrying required medical supplies or devices into the fairgrounds are not subject to the clear bag policy, but will be asked to have their bag checked at their entry gate for a thorough screening of the bag and the medical items. The person requiring these supplies or devices must always accompany the bag.

Are pets allowed on the Fairgrounds?
While we love animals, we ask that you please leave your pets at home as they will not be allowed on the Fairgrounds. This includes Emotional Support Animals. Service animals, as defined by the American with Disability Act, will be permitted on the Fairgrounds.

How do I become a commercial booth vendor at the Fair?

Is there a pass out of the entrance gate?
If you leave the fairgrounds, you will have to purchase an entrance ticket to return to the fairgrounds. NO EXEMPTIONS.

The advance/discount tickets will go on sale the Tuesday after Labor Day, ALWAYS!
MIDWAY
How much are Carnival Rides?
There are two ways to get Ride tickets
1. Purchase them in advance through Ticketmaster.com
2. Wait and get them when you come.
Will the games on the Midway be open on Sunday?
Yes! All games will be open on Sunday.
Will there be any Gold Passes(fast pass) from the Midway?
These passes will only be available at the Midway kiosk.
