Valiant Cross Academy is an all-male school serving the Washington Park and West End neighborhoods of Montgomery, AL. Started in 2015, their mission is to transcend the challenges of young African-American males by giving them a structured and supportive school environment, college preparation, and the best role models possible.

Valiant Cross has just opened its high school facility and the Kiwanis Club of Montgomery awarded them with a $27,250 grant in March 2019 to furnish their classrooms, cafeteria and offices with desks, chairs, tables and more. Kimberly Baker, Director of Development and Marketing for Valiant Cross Academy speaks highly of the Kiwanis Club of Montgomery. “They have been amazing to Valiant Cross since our inception. We are so appreciative for all they have done, especially this last year’s donation. We are a community driven program and without the support of the community and organizations like the Kiwanis Club, we wouldn’t be where we are today.”
